WALSALL netted a goal in each half to wrap up victory at Neal Ardley’s Solihull.
The National League side created their share of the chances in the lively opening period, forcing Saddlers keeper Owen Evans into an excellent save from Callum Maycock.
One of Solihull’s two trialists had a deflected shot tipped over the bar midway through the half before the visitors opened the scoring on 38 minutes. Peter Clarke won possession in midfield and the ball was worked to new signing Danny Johnson to stab home from six yards.
