NATIONAL League South Chelmsford City gave topflight Wealdstone something to think about ahead of the new season after this humbling at The Vale.
A brace from Tom Blackwell and a penalty from Simeon Jackson sealed a convincing victory for the Clarets.
Wealdstone were denied a seventh minute opener when Max Kretzschmar saw his effort cleared on the goalline.
And that proved pivotal when Blackwell found space at the far post to head home past Wealdstone’s Trialist goalkeeper on 13 minutes.
