DAGENHAM & Redbridge eased to victory at newly promoted National League South side Aveley as both sides kicked off their pre-season campaigns.
Taking on the National League Daggers was always likely to be a tough test for the Millers and so it proved.
The visitors went ahead through a lovely goal. Ryan Hill beat his man and smacked the ball into the top corner to get things started on 30 minutes.
The Millers were awarded a penalty in the second half. However, it was saved by Josh Strizovic.
