HEDNESFORD Town showed again that they are ready to face the new season after a turbulent summer with a hard-fought draw over midlands rivals Nuneaton Borough.
But the Pitmen had to recover from a shaky start when a defensive blunder led to the home defence hitting their own post before Nuneaton took a 30th-minute lead, Connor Tomlinson sendingt a looping shot past Dan Crane.
Very little in the way of clear-cut opportunities were created by either side in first half but the Pitmen were better after the break.
