NATIONAL League South Chippenham came away from this feisty friendly played in foul weather with a narrow victory.
A rather nondescript first half was notable only for Salisbury losing defender Josh Sommerton to injury on 23 minutes.
Ryan Penney conjured up the first goal of the game on 47 minutes with a good ball into the box for James Harding to head down and Noah Coppin slotted the ball into the corner.
The goal stung Chippenham into life and five minutes later Tom Owen Evans slammed the ball home from close range.
