RAMPANT Rochdale comfortably beat League Two opponents for the second successive Saturday with a five-star display at the Crown Oil Arena.
With all eyes on next week’s National League opener at Boston, Dale boss Jim McNulty named a strong starting side.
But it was Salford who opened the scoring, on three minutes, when Ossama Ashley latched on to Curtis Tilt’s header to beat keeper Luke McNicholas.
This only served to spur Rochdale on to wrest control for the rest of the game with Tarryn Allarakhia majestic in midfield.
