Carl Finnigan’s third minute goal was cancelled out by Mark Davison’s 90th minute header for the visitors in front of a bumper 2,054 crowd.
Whitley Bay won 3-1 at relegated West Allotment Celtic on Good Friday, Thibault Charmey and Alex Kempster gave Bay a two goal advantage at half-time. Craig Hindmarsh pulled a goal back on 72 minutes before substitute Callum Patton added a third with ten minutes left.
