FORREST HEADS WEST

FORMER Shildon manager Gary Forrest has taken over as boss of struggling West Auckland Town.
Forrest quit Shildon after leading them to the Ebac Northern League title last season, after a row over the transfer of David Ferguson to Darlington.
He replaces Steve Skinner, who resigned after just five months in charge, claiming that the club had been in talks with other managers. Skinner had been placed in sole charge in December after joint manager Darren Williams was asked to stand down following a run of poor results.
Player-coach Mark Hudson has been running the side on a caretaker basis.
