ACE HOLROYD SIGNS OFF BUT HAS FAITH IN MACC TO FLOURISH

CHRIS Holroyd may not have soothed any Macclesfield Town pain when he left the day after their FA Trophy final defeat, but his parting words should offer fans some comfort, writes Sam Elliott.

Both have been attempting to get into the National League play-offs for years with no end product – but he thinks there’s every chance that both can make the top five, or the top seven, if the league’s proposals are given the green light at Celtic Manor next month.
