Finally, our play-off jinx is over

THIS time last year, my beloved Ebbsfleet United had just lost the National League South play-off final and after five years of heartache with relegation and two failed promotion attempts, I started to wonder if I would ever see the glory days again.
The 2016 play-offs saw us squeeze past Whitehawk on penalties in the semi-finals and face a fellow Kent side for promotion, Maidstone United.
