SHOLING HANDED £100K TV WINDFALL

SYDENHAMS Wessex League side Sholing have scooped a shock £100,000 grant from FA sponsors Budweiser.
The money will be used for improvements to the clubhouse and changing room at the Boatmen’s Universal Stadium.
Officials hope the improvements, for which planning permission has already been obtained, will pave the way for a return to the Southern League.
The windfall came after long-serving manager Dave Diaper was approached by a production company wanting to make a film about Non- League football and interview players and fans.
