WHY exactly do our sports constantly look at America for inspiration when looking to make changes?
If it’s not showpiece events going over the top with firework displays and cheerleaders, it’s televised football forcing several commercial breaks down our throats.
Fortunately, Non-League seems to have escaped relatively scot free.
However, the new National League play-off proposals definitely have an American feel where the play-offs are often contested between half of the teams in the league. Please, let’s leave that Stateside!
