MATT JANSEN says he had no hesitation in committing to National League North Chorley for the long term.
The former Blackburn Rovers star came within a match of taking the Magpies into Non-League’s top-flight in May but defeat in the play-off final to FC Halifax means it’s another year at Step 2.
Some were expecting the manager to step up a level over the close season but the speculation is over. Although the club have not revealed the length of the deal, Jansen won’t be going anywhere for quite a while.
