CINDERFORD ground out a hard-fought win against Totton at the Causeway.
Declan Morley-Lyne wasted an early chance for Cinderford but Toby Lee and Curtis Young were equally culpable for the visitors, as the game struggled to come to life.
But on 25 minutes the deadlock was broken in spectacular style when Danny Clare lashed an drive past Totton keeper Shane Murphy.
Cameron Clarke then denied the visitors an equaliser.
In the second half Craig Norman fed Lewis Bamford whose shot was blocked, while Sammy Hicks went close.
