LEATHERHEAD legends. That’s how Sammy Moore has described his merry men after the Tanners upset big-spending Billericay Town to progress to the FA Cup second round for the first time in 42 years.
He’s not wrong. Glenn Tamplin’s Billericay were odds-on to progress in the replay, and would surely have had even shorter odds when Adam Cunnington put the hosts ahead with half an hour to play. But a Jack Midson double, as well as a sealing strike from Moore himself, wrote the boys from Fetcham Grove into Leatherhead...
