SYKES QUITS MILLS

ASSISTANT managers Gareth Cross and Nick Dowse have been placed in temporary charge of New Mills following the resignation of Calum Sykes. Sykes quit the North West Counties Division One club after a disappointing run of results which left them in 13th place.
The club is now seeking a permanent replacement. Sykes thanks the club officials for the “amazing” opportunity to run the team, but said: “Recent results however have been way below what I want and what I expect for the Millers fans, and with that in mind I made my decision to resign as manager. “I wish the club...
