PICKING FA CUP GAMES FOR TV IS TOUGH

AS a privileged member of the BT Sport team, I can’t wait for the FA Cup to roll back onto our screens again in a fortnight’s time.
Naturally, choosing which games should be shown live is always going to spark debate, but there are a number of elements, some beyond BT Sport’s control and some you may not even think about, which determine where the TV cameras appear.
For example, Checkatrade Trophy matches have hindered our choices this year, then, factor in policing, fixture scheduling, finance and logistics, it doesn’t make it an easy process.
