MACCLESFIELD Town boss John Askey picked up the National League Manager of the Month award for December – and then dedicated it to his table-topping squad of players!
The Silkmen picked up 10 points throughout an unbeaten final month of 2017 – a haul which took them six points clear of the table going into the new calendar year.
But the top boss insisted the real credit should go to the players who have brought a real sense of optimism back to Moss Rose.
