HAVING seen the likes of Wrexham, Aldershot and a few others playing weakened sides along in front of low crowds, I have to ask ‘Is the FA Trophy what it used be?’
Personally, I’ve always enjoyed cup football, it takes a little bit of the must-win pressure off that you get on a Saturday afternoon.
I just think at this level, with the FA Trophy games being played on a Saturday, there is no need to rest players when there’s another week until your next game.
Winning breeds confidence no matter which competition you are in, just ask Linco...
