Video killed game’s purity

I MUST admit, I was all in favour of the use of video technology in the higher reaches of our game, but having watched the debacle of Tottenham’s FA Cup replay victory over Rochdale in midweek, I’ve changed my mind.
Non-League football will never have the benefit of VAR or goal-line technology to overrule referees – and, for me, the game is better for it.
Yes, mistakes will always happen and they’ll be controversially decisions, but it’s football in its purest form.
