Victoria Park club set for new ownership at last

HARTLEPOOL UNITED have been saved by local businessman Raj Singh and Sky Sports presenter and life-long fan Jeff Stelling.
After months of uncertainty, that has seen supporters raise more than £86,000 and a short-term loan from Hartlepool Borough Council to keep Pools afloat, contracts have now been exchanged and the club has been bought for a nominal fee of £1.
The deal is subject to ratification by the Football Association and National League, but that will be a mere formality.
