SINKING SHIP? The gates look set to close on 33 years of football at Ship Lane

THURROCK co-founder Norman Posner says it was a sad day submitting the club’s formal letter of resignation to the Bostik League after 33 years of football at Ship Lane.
The Fleet were put up for sale at the start of the season by longstanding owner Tommy South, who founded the club in its former guise Purfleet in 1985 before they changed their name to Thurrock in 2003.
