A sorry ending…

It was real shame to see the ugly scenes at the end of what had been an entertaining game of football between Tranmere and Ebbsfleet.
I fully appreciate the game meant a lot to both sides but there was no need whatsoever for the kind of behaviour that we saw at the end of the game. There is no doubt Winfield deserved his red card but the fact that he is reported to have had bite marks on his arm indicate the referee probably should have sent off more players. I am hoping that these kinds of scenes do not become a regular feature in Non- League.
