NEWChesterfield boss Martin Allen has kickstarted an early summer spending spree as he aims to build a side capable of returning the Spireites to the Football League at the first time of asking.
Allen has completed four signings this week with Macclesfield Town’s title-winning goalkeeper Shawn Jalal, midfielder Sam Wedgbury, experienced defender Michael Nelson and former Barnet midfielder Curtis Weston coming through the door at the Proact Stadium.
