I FINDit impossible to get excited about pre-season friendlies. The matches are usually played at an excruciatingly slow tempo, while any momentum is quickly lost by the constant substitutions that always take place.
It seems slightly ridiculous for club’s to charge fans to go and watch what usually feels like a glorified training session.
