FURIOUS Welwyn Garden City chiefs have hit out at officials of Premier League club Watford for cancelling a pre-season friendly at the 11th hour – due to not being able to field a side!
The Southern League East club say they have been betrayed by their high-profile Hertfordshire neighbours who called off yesterday’s friendly at 2pm on Friday, leaving them having to apologise to disappointed fans and facing a huge loss in revenue.
