Give smaller clubs a break

I READ with interest your article about Letcombe FC, Woodstock Town and Headington Amateurs having to drop down to Step 7 just because the clubs have not installed floodlights.
These are small clubs in the community with nothing but volunteers to run them and a few spectators. Where do the FA think the money is coming from?
As usual they look after the big teams but come down heavy handed on the little teams at g rass roots level.
It’s time for the people at the FA to wake up and get in the real world and realise that football starts on the village g reen – not some mega stadium...
