BLYTH Spartans came from a goal down to progress into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup and take their prize money up to £24,000.
Gainsborough were made to pay for not adding to Shane Clarke’s opener, despite dominating the opening half an hour.
Chances came and went for the home side, Alex Simmons denied by a point-blank save by Peter Jameson, before he then dragged a left-footed effort wide of the post when well-placed.
