SPORTS EDGED OUT IN PEN-FEST

MICKLEOVER put in a spirited performance but were ultimately edged out by their National League North opponents.
Alfreton should have taken the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half but Mickleover goalkeeper Lewis King kept out Bobby Johnson’s powerful effort before tipping the rebound over the bar.
However, just eight minutes later the Reds made no mistake from 12 yards, as Jordan Sinnott calmly sent King the wrong way.
