ALLEN’S NOT SO MAD

I HAVE to say, I thoroughly enjoyed Ian Ridley’s interview with Chesterfield boss Martin Allen in last week’s NLP.
‘Mad Dog’ has taken a fair bit of stick from the terraces and on social media after a slow start to the season but I don’t think his promotion vow is as far-fetched as people may think.
This time last year we were talking about Tranmere Rovers and their poor start to the season before they started to climb the table and eventually won the play-offs.
We have a strong squad so let’s get behind Allen and the team, not berate them.
