ALTHOUGH I am a born and bred Mancunian, your article in last week’s NLP on Salford City was an absolutely brilliant read.
You will always hear the odd gripe about Salford ‘demising the grassroots game’ but, for me, if any team or personalities attempt to improve standards then they get my vote!
In the 90s, I spent four years as a match official in what was then the Salford Sunday League and even in those days there were always an inclination to improve standards and attitude in the area.
