ADAM CONFUE’S 52nd-minute winner restored Daventry Town to the top of the table with a 1-0 victory at Rothwell Corinthians.
Daventry had slipped to second last week behind newly-promoted Pinchbeck United.
Confue found Dean Lukeman out on the left and ran into the box to flick home the resulting cross.
Daventry were reduced to ten men when Taylor Orosz was shown a red card for a scuffle with an opponent, in which sub Jordan Orosz was booked. Cogenhoe United beat visitors Desborough Town 1-0 with just two minutes left on the clock.
