Legacy of 3G is not the way forward

SO, the sale of Wembley to Shahid Khan is no longer going through, but, for me, 3G pitches would have been a poor-value legacy for our national stadium when you consider developments in the last year.
Last month, Powerleague, Britain’s second biggest operator of 5-aside pitches, announced they are closing around 100 artificial 3G pitches. The FA spending their TV money bonanza on artificial pitches has already created excess supply in some locations.
