A programme is Leist we deserve

THERE has been brief mention previously on your letters pages of clubs dispensing with matchday programmes – no doubt on what they consider to be cost grounds.
I encountered this myself on Saturday at Leiston where AFC Rushden & Diamonds were the visitors.
As a neutral, it was a very good match indeed and a very good advert for this level of football, in less than ideal conditions. But the occasion was tainted by no matchday programme being available, due to it being “uneconomic” as I was informed at the turnstile.
