GONE: Sam Ricketts left Wrexham to become Shrewsbury boss

TALK about history repeating itself!
Just as I was finally coming to terms with the aftermath of Dean Keates’ departure for Walsall last year where Wrexham dropped like a stone from the promotion picture, it appears we have another battle on our hands to prevent a similar scenario now Sam Ricketts has left to join Shrewsbury.
Sam did a great job in a short space of time at Wrexham and I genuinely wish him every success, but I just wonder if this move has come a bit soon for him given his infancy in a senior role.
