LEYTON ORIENT ensured they are 2018’s Christmas number one with an impressive win against Chesterfield on a day when their title rivals slipped up.
Goals from Josh Koroma, Marvin Ekpiteta and top scorer Macauley Bonne saw Justin Edinburgh’s side to a 3-1 victory over the Spireites. Orient are now four points clear of Salford City – the Ammies suffering a 2-1 home loss against Dagenham & Redbridge thanks to Angelo Balanta’s winner.
