Throwback to the good old days

REGARDING 3G pitches and the pitches of Luton, Oldham and QPR in the 1980s! Well said Graham Goodall I say, (Fans’ Forum, January 13).
Those “Astroturf” pitches like the ones at Sutton and Bromley are best got rid of. Let’s ensure that lesser Non-League clubs continue to postpone their revenue generating fixtures or clagg the ball through the mud as per Match of the Day in the 1970s.
And as for the home advantage it gives, you’ll never find a team with a 3G pitch with a better or similar away record to its home record (ala Maidstone) – and it’s not ...
