SMITH AIMS TO HALT THE SLIDE

But Gary unsure if Lambs’ job is for him full-time

GARY SMITH declared his immense pride at being asked to take over temporarily at troubled Tamworth – but stopped short of confirming his interest in the job fulltime.
The Lambs parted company with Dennis Greene earlier this month following a string of bad results and appointed fans’ favourite Smith while they search for a replacement.
The 52-year-old has been involved with the club’s youth set-up since the summer and is a familiar face to supporters having played over 200 games for the club.
