CHAIRMAN David Haythornthwaite has described a bid for AFC Fylde striker Danny Rowe as an “insult” to the player and club.
The National League promotion contenders turned down a £50,000 offer for the division’s top scorer from an unnamed “former Premier League side” on Deadline Day.
Rowe’s 21 league goals have helped propel the Coasters into the play-off mix for a second consecutive season, with his performances attracting interest from above.
