THIS was an entertaining draw that cemented both sides’ top-ten aspirations but failed to progress their play-off chances.
Diamonds took a firsthalf lead with returning hero Jack Ashton looping a header over the keeper on 23 minutes to finish a patient move after a positive start.
Leiston responded with some great attacking play that created a couple of half-chances chances for Matt Blake, but Diamonds continued to threaten with full-back Zack Reynolds prominent and they just about deserved their half-time lead.
