THIS basement battle finished all square in a game of good football mixed with mistakes at both ends.
Chesham took the lead on 24 minutes. Visiting keeper Adam Desbois excelled to keep out a Dave Pearce free-kick, but Pearce took the resulting corner which the keeper punched straight upwards before flapping the loose ball into his own net.
However the visitors’ equaliser came 11 minutes later when Mitchell Parker seized on a loose ball and fired in a shot that Chesham keeper Ben Goode fumbled into the net.
