WANTAGE Town may end up as the real victors in the crunch game away to leaders Brimscombe & Thrupp, who wasted a golden opportunity to further extend the gap at the top.
The clash at The Meadow ended goalless, with secondplaced Wantage left trailing the leaders by five points but with three games in hand, their solitary point could well prove invaluable in the run-in.
