BLOWN OFF COURSE: Illogan RBL’s demolished grandstand

OFFICIALS and supporters of minnows Illogan RBL were left counting the cost after high winds demolished their grandstand and lifted the roof on to a road.
The main stand at the Oxland Park ground of the Cornwall Combination outfit was blown down.
The fierce gusts over the weekend damaged it beyond repair, and all local volunteers could do was to tie down the parts that were left until a digger arrived to clear the site.
Most important of all, nobody was injured when the stand came down.
