GOOLE’S FEAR AT COUNCIL DISPUTE

Goole AFC chairman Alan Wilson believes a dispute with the local council over the lease of their Victoria Pleasure Grounds Stadium will put a potentially damaging financial strain on the Yorkshire club.
Wilson claims Google Town Council have reneged on a previous agreement to give the club a 25-year lease on the stadium and have instead allowed a Community Interest Company to control the ground’s facilities, while also charging the Northern Counties East Premier Division side a higher rent.
