JOE Ellul says Maidenhead United just love proving the doubters wrong.
The Magpies have been one of the surprise packages in the National League so far, winning at the likes of Stockport, Torquay and Yeovil to catapult themselves towards the summit of the table, and the 30-year-old is revelling in his side’s achievements.
“A lot of people had us as one of the favourites to get relegated but we just knuckled down over pre-season and got on with it,” Ellul, who netted and picked up the man of the match award in last weekend’s win at Sutton, said.
