Purps win case over city trademark

CITY of Liverpool FC have produced one of the most impressive victories this season after winning a legal battle with Champions League winners Liverpool FC.
The Premier League giants sought to trademark the word Liverpool “in the context of football products and services” to stop people benefiting from selling fake goods.
However, the bid, which the club say was “put forward in good faith”, sparked outrage among the local community and Liverpool supporters, including mayor Joe Anderson.
