MAX LOVERIDGE broke Leicester hearts with a last-minute winner in extra time to fire Midland Premier Division high-fliers Walsall Wood into the second round of the FA Vase.
Loveridge raced cleared and slotted past Will Highland in the hosts’ goal to put paid to a brave fightback by Neil Lyne’s side. With nothing to separate the sides after 90 minutes, Walsall gained a foothold in the tie when they were awarded a penalty in the first half of extra time.
