FORWARD Tom Cursons’ early strike was enough to help Badshot Lea edge past Westbury United in a closely contested clash.
Lea got their noses in front during an impressive fi rst half before turning in a resolute defensive display after the break as the Wiltshire side pushed hard to fi nd a way back into the tie.
It looked like being a one-sided encounter as Lea burst out of the blocks and took the lead after just seven minutes when Cursons pounced unmarked to power in a right-wing cross from six yards. Lea thought they had extended their lead...
