LEIGHTON MACINTOSH scored twice as Wrexham became the first National League representative to book their place in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals.
After a goalless first half, Devonte Redmond scored within seconds of the restart before McIntosh doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Cameron MacPherson tripped Ben Tollitt.
Jay Henderson pulled one back for the Young Buddies but McIntosh’s second of the game and Tollitt’s late strike earned Dean Keates his first win of his second spell as manager.
