DAVID Morgan’s second half penalty earned Liam Watson a win in his 500th game as Southport manager.
The Port had never scored a goal against Brackley in their previous encounters, let alone registered a win, but Morgan struck just after the hour to give the home team maximum points.
It was a fi fth straight home win for Watson’s side, who deserved their victory and could have added to their tally with good pressure as the game went on.
